We usually consider fans and motors to be very common equipment. But we have overlooked that they provide important airflow for industrial processing, cooling and heating functions for office buildings, conference centers, cinemas, entertainment venues, and hotels. Bearings can be replaced during regular maintenance to avoid malfunctions.

Vibration sensor

Acceleration vibration sensors are usually installed at important locations on the bearings of the motor and fan. Because bearings are the main load-bearing components of mechanical drives, acceleration vibration sensors should be installed on input and output bearing brackets to measure vibration values.

Vibration sensors should be installed in the radial (vertical and horizontal) and axial positions of the bearings of the motor and fan. This can achieve vibration measurement results. The measured values include:

Misalignment

Electronic malfunction

Blade speed product disturbance (aerodynamic disturbance)

Belt frequency

The installation of acceleration vibration sensors usually recommends the use of adhesives or stud bolts. Both installation methods require a pre prepared installation surface.
